Police investigating ‘undetermined’ death in northwest Calgary neighbourhood | CBC News

At around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, investigators were at a house in the 7900 block of 36 Avenue N.W. for a wellness check on a missing person and found her dead after searching the residence.

Circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious, police say

The Calgary Police Homicide Unit is investigating what they are calling an undetermined death in the northwest neighbourhood of Bowness.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, investigators were at a house in the 7900 block of 36 Avenue N.W. for a wellness check on a missing person, police told CBC News.

After searching the residence, police found a woman’s body.

“At this time, the death remains undetermined and the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious,” police said in a statement.

Investigators have spoken with several witnesses and are in the process of collecting CCTV. 

Police did not say whether there are any suspects in custody. 

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
